Volodymyr Yezersky: "UEFA has moved the tournament of our Euro elite group to Switzerland and changed the dates of the matches"

At the end of March, the U-17 U-XNUMX national team under the leadership of Volodymyr Yezersky will compete for the final of the European Championship.

The results of the training camp for the youth team of Ukraine (players not older than 2002) in Israel for the official site of the FFU were summed up by the head coach of blue and yellow Vladimir Yezersky.

- Vladimir Ivanovich, did the results in friendly matches with the Israeli national team turn out well?

- It was a micro-collection, because although we played two matches, there were as many trainings, and it was in this aspect that we wanted to work harder. However, the benefits of this work are still many.

The boys and I have not seen each other for four months, the players were able to feel each other again, we remembered past experience, our style of play. By the way, we were trying to get out of the defense the way the national team is doing, because, I think, soon, one of these guys is sure to get on the pencil of the mentors of the main team of the country.

If we talk about the sparring itself, then in the first of them we experimented, involved several new artists and tried to use different connections on the field. IN to another the same duel went better. At times, we looked at our picture of the game, which we have been working on lately.

I am glad that we had to play with a very interesting and strong Israeli team. At this stage, this is exactly the opponent that was needed. Our guys felt the strength of the Israelis, and I told them that it would not be easier in the elite round. I was a little disappointed with the actions in defense, because in two sparring matches with the Israelis we missed more than in the last 11 matches. This gathering gave our coaching staff a lot of useful information.

- What your wards will not refuse, so it is in character ...

- We harden their character from the very beginning of our joint activity. And I can only thank the wards for their attitude to work. I believe that in the upcoming elite round of the Euro they will show their best side. We can say that the dress rehearsal in Israel was a success.

- When will the team gather before the elite round of the European Championship?

- March 19. Circumstances in our group have changed. For political reasons, UEFA moved our matches from Spain to Nyon, Switzerland, and the dates have changed. Now we will play on the 25th (with Kosovo), the 28th (with Greece) and on March 31 (with Spain). We need to negotiate in a new way with domestic clubs, but I hope that they will meet us and send all their best players to the national team. We, in turn, will do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine is represented in the final part of the European Championship.
