Oleg Kuznetsov: “Slovakia has a limited number of players at our disposal”

The head coach of the youth U-18 national team of Ukraine Oleh Kuznetsov summed up the team's performance at the international tournament.

At the meeting of the youth national team of Ukraine (football players not older than 2001), which recently ended, our team took part in the international tournament "Cup of Slovakia". Playing there is not the main lineup, blue and yellow took fourth place.

The head coach of the national team of Ukraine Oleh Kuznetsov told about the results of the work.

- Given the lineup we went to this tournament, I think the result for the team is positive, - said Oleg Vladimirovich. - If we lost in some matches, I wouldn't say that about the game.

- Does this mean that this team has a decent potential?

- Now some of the guys played better, some - worse, but we have no special claims to the players. We will continue to monitor these performers, so everything is in the hands of the players themselves.

There were difficult competitions in Slovakia, at least because we had to play four matches in five days. In addition, we had a limited number of players. If we went to the tournament with 17 players, the other teams had 20-22 performers in their lineups.

- Which match in the performance of the national team of Ukraine did you like the most?

- Probably a duel with the Croats. Although the game ended in a draw (0:0), but by the thought, the dynamics of our guys looked good.

- Before qualifying for the Euro, your team will have two more training camps. Do you plan to see all the strongest players there?

- I really hope so, because both of our autumn stages of training will take place on UEFA dates, so the clubs will be obliged to release their players in the national team.
