Ruslan Rotan: "Maybe a few newcomers will appear in the youth team in March"

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan told about a working trip to Turkey.

For 10 days, representatives of the coaching staff of the youth national team of Ukraine U-21 were in Turkey, where they watched the candidates for their team. After his return, Ruslan Rotan, the head of the youth team, shared his impressions of the trip with the UAF official website.

"The trip was very productive," Rotan said. - This year, all UPL clubs, as well as youth teams of some teams held meetings in Antalya and its environs. Thanks to the clear organization of UAF managers, my assistants and I settled in a very convenient place and watched a total of 24 matches with the participation of almost all teams of the elite division. There were a lot of young people at this training camp, now it is important that the guys, after good training, play in the main squads and in official matches.

We received a lot of information, paid special attention to the players who play in our still problematic positions. It is possible that several newcomers will appear in the team in March. We are currently analyzing what we have seen and are looking forward to the resumption of the season.

It was a pleasure to meet the coaches of the national team, who were also in Turkey. We talked well with Andriy Shevchenko and his assistants, exchanged important information. Which of the young people pay attention to in the headquarters of the main team? It is too early to talk about it, but the "youth" will gladly release any football player that the national team needs. And with confidence that the guys have mastered its main requirements.

This year is the year of the European Championship, and all efforts should be focused on the main team of the country. At the same time, we are aware that the "youth" need to correct their tournament position. But you should never put pressure on the guys with the result. First of all, they must play in a modern way. Yes, to get to the first team and receive invitations from leading European clubs.
