Vitalii Odehov: In February, we plan to play matches against the current European champion - Spain

The head coach of the Ukraine U-19 futsal team Vitalii Odehov told about the adjusted work plans of the team.

After the November collection is done, the blue-and-yellows head coach announced holding friendly games against Romania in Ukraine in December. However, exhibition games were canceled.

"Friendlies with the Romanians was supposed to take place on December 15-16, but the rivals could not come due to cases of COVID-19. Due to the pandemic and quarantine restrictions, the friendly matches against the Belarusians, which were supposed to come to us in January, were canceled.

So no more events are planned for the youth team this year. Next time we will gather at the end of February 2021 to play friendly matches against the current European champion - Spain U-19. The matches will take place in Ukraine, and their venue will be determined later", - Vitalii Odehov said in a comment to the UAF official website.

It should be noted that the youth national team of Ukraine is preparing for the selection of Euro-2021. The draw for the second European U-19 Futsal Championship qualifying was scheduled for October 23, but was postponed. The final stage will take place in a year with the participation of seven winners of the qualification and the team of the host country of Euro-2021. The qualifying tournament must end by March 28, 2021.
