Euro 2022 in futsal. The national team of Ukraine got to know the rivals in the group of the final tournament

Today in the Dutch Zeist was held draw ceremony of the final part of Euro-2022 in futsal.

The day before according to rankings Four futsal baskets were formed for futsal teams. The Ukrainian team ranks 10th in this ranking, so have been drawn to the third basket.

According to the rules, 16 participants of the final stage were divided into four groups of four teams. According to the results of the draw, the blue and yellows got into Group A, where they will play against the Netherlands (host of the tournament), Portugal (the current champion) and the winner of the playoffs between the national teams of Serbia and Belarus.

Group A: Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia / Belarus, Ukraine.

Group B: Kazakhstan, Italy, Slovenia, Finland.

Group C: Russia, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia.

Group D: Spain, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia.

We will remind that wards of Alexander Kosenko became participants in the final tournament following the results of the group stage of qualification, where they were left behind Croatia (2: 3, 2: 7) and ahead of Denmark (6: 2, 8: 2) and Albania (10: 3, 5: 0).

In the ranking of teams that took second place, Ukrainians settled on the second position. In total, the top six out of eight teams went directly to the European Championships, while the two worst (Serbia and Belarus) will play each other in the playoffs on November 14-17.

Euro-2022 futsal calendar

Group stage: January 19-29, 2022.

1/4 finals: January 31 - February 1, 2022.

1/2 finals: February 4, 2022

Match for 3rd place / final: February 6, 2022

The matches of the final tournament will take place at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (group stage, playoffs) and the Martini Plaza arena in Groningen (group stage).
