Euro-2024 (U-17): all Ukraine potential opponents in the final tournament have been determined

On March 26, all the participants of the Euro-2024 (U-17) final tournament, where the Ukrainian team made it on March 12, became known.

It should be recalled that the youth national team of Ukraine (football players not older than 2007) under the leadership of Yurii Moroz finished the elite round of Euro-2024 qualifying among players under 17 years old with a victory over Slovakia (3:0). Considering the fact that earlier the blue-yellow team defeated Greece (2:0) and Switzerland (3:0), they became the winners of group 4 and holders of tickets to the final tournament.

The forum itself, with the participation of 16 national teams, will be held from May 20 to June 5, 2024 in Cyprus - at six stadiums in Achna, Larnaca, Paralimni and Limassol. Eight winners of the groups of the elite round of selection and seven winners of the second places with the best results entered the final stage, where the host country immediately entered, based on the results of the March matches. 

The draw for the final tournament takes place in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, on April 3 (starting at 19:00 Kyiv time). 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four participants. The two best teams advance to the quarterfinals. Next on the grid are the semi-finals and the final on June 5 in Limassol.

So, in addition to Cyprus, the participants of Euro-2024 (U-17) became: the winners of the groups — Ukraine, France, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, Poland, the second teams of the groups — England, Wales, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Spain and Czechia. 

Let's add that for the Ukrainian national team U-17 this will be the 11th final tournament at European Championship.
