Lviv region national team wins FFU 2018 Regions Cup and will represent Ukraine in Europe

The price of winning this match was very high, because the teams competed not only for the cup and the title of national champion, but also for the right to represent Ukraine in the UEFA Regions Cup 2018/2019.

Despite the vagaries of the weather and the slippery lawn, both teams demonstrated a high quality game. The score in the match was opened by Lviv after Ihor Leskiv successfully played individually in the penalty area in the 37th minute. However, the national team of Sumy region, despite the game and territorial advantage of the opponent, managed to equalize the score - a beautiful goal in the far nine was scored by Dmitry Tarabara, who appeared on the field after the break.

By the way, the qualifying round of the UEFA Regions' Cup will be hosted by Ukraine. In Lviv, in addition to the hosts of the tournament, representatives of Spain, Azerbaijan and Finland will play. The competition will take place from October 2 to 10 this year. Only the winner of the group will receive a ticket to the decisive round. The final competitions of the prestigious European amateur tournament will be held in June 2019.
