2019 Euro 19 Elite Round (WU-XNUMX): draw takes Ukrainian team to two semi-finalists of last tournament

During the draw procedure in Nyon, the youth women's national team of Ukraine WU-19 learned the names of three of its rivals in the elite round of qualifying for Euro 2019, the final part of which will take place in Scotland.

Recall that in the qualifying round started 48 of the 51st participant of the European Championship 2019 (WU-19). 26 teams went to the next selection round, including Ukraine. Here they were joined by France and the current champion - Spain.

As a result of today's draw, our team, which sowed from the third basket, was in a very strong group 5, together with the teams of Norway, Denmark and Northern Ireland. In particular, the Denmark and Norway teams were semi-finalists of the last European Championship in the WU-19 category. 

Membership of all elite rounds of the 2019 Qualifying Round (WU-19)

Group 1: Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Greece.

Group 2: Finland, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland.

Group 3: Netherlands, Iceland, Russia, Bulgaria.

Group 4: Spain, Ireland, Hungary, Serbia.

Group 5: Norway, Denmark, Ukraine, Northern Ireland.

Group 6: England, Italy, Sweden, Turkey.

Group 7: France, Slovenia, Slovakia, Portugal.

The seven winners of the elite round groups (matches will take place on April 1-9) will reach the final stage, where the host of the championship, Scotland, will be waiting for them. The matches will take place in July 2019. 

Recall that the final tournament will also become a qualification for the World Cup 2020 for girls under 20 years.
