WU-17: trip to Finland and match with Latvia on the way to qualifying for Euro for Ukrainian national team

The most important start for the girls' national team of Ukraine WU-17 in 2019 - participation in the Euro 2020 qualifying tournament.

From the 20th to the 26th of October this year the team headed by Valery Palamarchuk in Serbia will compete for a ticket to the elite round qualifying for the Europe 2020 Championship. The Ukrainians will have to withstand competition from the hosts, as well as the national teams of the Czech Republic and Georgia. If successful, the blue-and-yellows will face an even more difficult test in the next round, which will take place in the spring of 2020.

In preparation for the Euro selection, Ukrainian girls will hold two meetings. The first will take place from 7 to 17 May and will include a trip to Finland to participate in the UEFA Development Cup (12-17 May). In addition to our team and hosts, the national teams of Switzerland and the Faroe Islands will also play there. 

The second gathering will be held from September 16 to September 22. The blue-yellow sparring partner will be the Latvian national team at this stage. Finally, just before leaving for Serbia, the team will gather on October 14th and have almost a week to prepare for the tournament.

We will add that the goalkeepers of this team, as well as the goalkeepers of all other Ukrainian women's national teams, will hold an additional training camp in Slavutych on February 4-8.
