Women's Futsal Euro 2019: Ukraine's national team unable to stop Portugal team in semi-final
In the Portuguese city of Gondomar semifinal duels The debut European Women's Futsal Championship has started. The Ukrainian national team, which has been ranked the four best continent teams, started tournament with a hostess match.
Immediately after the starting whistle, the rivals of the blue-yellows started to press and regularly disturbed our goalkeeper. In addition, Portugal often exacerbated the situation after the draw of standards - in the 5th minute Vanessa aimed at the crossbar, receiving a pass from the corner of the field.

Sahaidachna worked wonders in the frame, including parrying Fifo's blow after the opponent went out on his own. In the 13th minute, after a shot by Fernandez from close range, the Ukrainians were helped by a barbell, but the Portuguese still managed to score in the next attack: Sagaidachna managed to hit Jenny, but Silva was the first to finish.
Soon the hosts could increase their advantage when the blue and yellows earned the sixth team foul, but Vanessa did not realize the 10-meter. In general, the first half took place with a complete advantage of Portugal in shots, corners and possession of the ball.

The picture at the beginning of the second half was completely different - Oleg Shaitanov worked well with his wards during the break. The Ukrainians started to move forward more boldly and equalized in the 22nd minute. Titova fired at Sidorenko in a counterattack, and she had to close the transmission. 1: 1.
After that, the Portuguese played uncertainly for a while, but the blue and yellows were no longer able to upset Ana Katarina. In the middle of the half, the hosts pressed our team to its goal again, and in the 28th minute they scored again. Fifo picked up the ball near the penalty area of the Ukrainians and hit the plane with a ricochet.

Unfortunately, in the last 10 minutes of the match, the blue and yellow failed to withstand the pace set by the rivals. At first Silva hit our goal post, and in the 33rd minute Vanessa was left alone in our penalty area and easily overcame Sahaidachna. 1: 3.
The Ukrainians started to take risks, the coach released the fifth field player, but it did not bring dividends. Instead, Portugal caught our team on the counterattack - only the frame saved the blue and yellow after the blows of Vanessa and Azevedo. And in the last minutes our girls missed twice more - Silva and Fifo scored doubles. 1: 5.
