Viktor Kornienko: "We look at the matches of the opponent, we analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the Koreans"

Ukraine U-20 midfielder Viktor Kornienko told the UAF press service about the preparation of Alexander Petrakov's wards for the final match of the World Cup in Poland. 

The U-20 national team continues preparation to the most important match of the season - the final of the Youth World Cup with South Korea. Blue and yellow midfielder Viktor Kornienko shared his expectations from the upcoming match.

- How are you preparing for the final meeting with the Koreans?

- We moved from Gdansk to Lodz. Were in the water park, in the sauna. We are recovering, those who wish to visit the gym. That is, recovery is in full swing. And on Wednesday we started purposeful preparations for the match with South Korea. We are watching the opponent's matches, a theoretical lecture has already taken place. A serious opponent who deservedly reached the final. We will analyze their strengths and weaknesses, come to a common decision on actions against the Koreans, and I hope we will win. 

- Have you already realized that the team won the semifinals and reached the finals of such a tournament?

- Honestly, not very much. But it's not even a matter of understanding this - you have to win the final. That's when we win and take the cup in our hands, then the understanding of what we did will come. And now - no, because there is only one thing in mind - the setting for victory. 

- Did you recover after a long move?

- Yes of course. This is not the first time we are moving to this tournament, so we are used to it. 

- How do you assess your level of training? 100 percent or 120 percent?

- At 220!

It will be recalled that the final match of the U-20 World Cup between Ukraine and South Korea will take place on June 15 at Lodz Stadium (starting at 19.00 pm Kyiv time).
