FIFA has updated the calendar of international futsal matches for 2020-2024

FIFA has published on its official website an updated calendar of futsal matches (dates for windows) for the next four years.

The changes are related to the postponement of the final tournament of the World Cup, which was to take place in Lithuania in September this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic to 2021. We will remind that the national team of Ukraine didn't get to the tournament's final round, stopping in the elite qualifying round.

The next for our national futsal team will be Euro-2022. Ukraine will start its way in the group qualifying round. There, 32 teams (16 participants in the elite round of the 2020 World Cup qualifiers, nine winners of the qualifying round groups and seven winners of the butt matches) will be divided into eight groups of four teams. For the first time in the history of the tournament, the teams at this stage will play against opponents at home and away, holding two matches against each opponent in the group. Eight group winners and six top runners-up will join the Netherlands in the final stage. Another participant will go through the playoffs.

The draw will determine the rivals of the blue-yellows on September 2. Matches of this stage are scheduled for the period from December 6, 2020 to April 14, 2021.
