Ruslan Rotan: "The fight came to the fore in the match with the British, and my wards passed this exam"

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan talked to journalists after the match with Northern Ireland (3: 0) in the selection of Euro-2021 (U-21):

Match against Northern Ireland was difficult, especially given the weather conditions. Wrestling and fighting qualities came to the fore, and I am glad that my wards passed this exam. I can only congratulate the youth national team of Ukraine on the victory.

- Ruslan Petrovich, your team slammed the door loudly. How do you rate the path in the qualifying tournament in general?

- I really wanted to win the last qualifying match. Conclusions? We will do them later, we need to analyze everything carefully. We didn't fulfill the task of leaving the European Championship, it's sad, but we are very glad that many of our guys were challenged to the national team. This is very important for us.

- Andriy Shevchenko called three of your players - Bulets, Nazarenko and Sudakov. Is this an advance for them?

- If they are in the main team of the country, then they deserve this challenge. But the fact is that there is still a lot of work to be done. We put our shoulder to our older brother.
