The blue-and-yellows will soon begin preparations for the matches of the main qualifying round of the European Championship, which will take place on October 19-24, 2021. The official website of the UAF spoke with the head coach of the Ukrainian women's futsal team Oleh Shaitanov, who outlined the team's immediate plans.
- All rivals of the national team of Ukraine on selection of Euro-2022 - to Finland and the Czech Republic were defined added Belgium. What can you say about this team?
- Yes, last Wednesday, after a series of post-match six-meter shots, the last team that got into our group became known - the Belgian national team, which defeated Gibraltar. The Belgians today are not the top team in European women's futsal, but given the rather high ratings of the national team in big women's football (18th place in the world and 11th in European), we understand that the country has players of high class. And in what composition this team will come to Ukraine for the qualifying games is currently unknown. We will follow this team further.
- What are the plans for preparing the national team of Ukraine for the qualifying matches? When will the next meeting take place?
- The team's next plans are to hold a training camp in Ukraine from May 23 to 28 and take part in the tournament in Croatia on June 20.
- Do you watch your wards in the championship? What are your impressions of their game?
- Yes, of course, we follow all our players. This year it was a bit more difficult, as they became winners and champions in three different countries. The level of championships is different, that's why we are holding a May meeting to bring everyone together.
