Media attention! On April 12, the All-Ukrainian Open Championship of the ATO Heroes will start

On April 12 competitions will begin in several cities of Ukraine within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Open Championship of ATO Heroes.

A total of 34 teams formed on the basis of structures of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, volunteers and ATO veterans will take part in the tournament. The competition was organized by the Football Federation of Ukraine and the National Council for Sports Rehabilitation of Defenders of Ukraine. The opening match of the tournament will be a match between the national team among veterans of Ukraine and the team of participants of the open championship of ATO Heroes, which will begin on Friday, April 12, at 11.00, in Lyutizh, not far from Kyiv.

This year the championship matches will be held in three stages. At the first stage, the participants, divided into six divisions by geographical principle (South, North, West, East, Center and Kyiv), from April to September will hold matches in two rounds. The two best teams from each division will advance to the previous final round. At this stage, the participating teams will be divided into four groups, three teams in each, which will compete in September to reach the next stage. Four teams will advance to the decisive round of the competition. The semifinal matches will take place on October 13, the final match - on October 14, on the Day of the Defender of Ukraine.

As a result of previous competitions, we received a lot of positive feedback from the military about the need for such tournaments and their importance for the social and psychological rehabilitation of combatants. Therefore, the Football Federation of Ukraine will be happy to support and develop such sports initiatives in the future. We admire the courage of our soldiers at the front and their perseverance on the football field! Honesty, mutual support, brotherhood and a great example of patriotism for young people are symbols of these competitions, which are already becoming a good tradition, "said Andriy Pavelko, President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, in his welcoming speech to the championship participants.

At the grand opening of the new championship among the participants of the anti-terrorist operation in Lyutizh at the cozy "Lyutizh-Arena" will gather teams in the divisions "North": FC "Zenith" (Cherkasy region), FC AKS, FC "Steel Stork" (both - Kiev region), DC CITY State Transport Service (Kyiv), FC "Caliber" (Sumy region) and "Kyiv": FC "Army", FC "Patriot" (both - Kyiv region), FC "Veterans' Brotherhood", VITI, PPSP OP Kyiv ", FC" Phantom "(all - Kyiv). Each team will receive ten branded balls for games and training, and new participants in the tournament - football uniforms.

Also, on April 12, the grand opening and matches of the first round in other divisions will take place:

Division "West", Lviv: FC "Rivne-ATO" (Rivne), FC "Carpathian Land" (Transcarpathian region), FC "Lions" GUNP, FC "Defenders of Lemberg" (both - Lviv), FC "Ivano- Frankivsk ATO ", FC" Prykarpattya ATO "(Ivano-Frankivsk);

Division "Center", Vinnytsia: FC "Wild Duck" (Vinnytsia), FC GUNP Zhytomyr, FC "Dome-95" (both - Zhytomyr), FC "Border Guard" (Khmelnytsky), FC "Star" GUNP (Rivne) ;

Division "East", Dnipro: FC "Center", FC "Dynamo" GUNP, FC DDUVS (all - Dnipro), FC "First Capital", FC "East" (both - Kharkiv), FC "Cheetah" (Zaporozhye ), FC "Poltava ATO".

Division "South", Mykolayiv: FC "Sturm", FC "Delta-ZSU", FC "Victoria" (all - Mykolaiv region), FC "Kropyvnytskyi", FC "Suhoputka" (Odessa).

We will remind, the winner of the High Command of ATO Heroes in 2018 became FC "Kropyvnytskyi".
