U-17: Ukraine to play in the Euro-2021 qualifiers next year

Youth team of Ukraine (players born in 2004), according to a new decision of UEFA, will play in the qualifying round of the European Championship 2021 (U-17) in the spring of next year.

In addition to the dates of the competition (in particular, for our team, they were to take place in October 2020), UEFA has changed the format of selection. 

Participants are divided into 13 groups of four teams each. By the will of the draw, Serhiy Nagornyak's wards got into group 4 together with the teams of Belgium, Georgia (hosts) and Lithuania. Under the updated scheme, the qualifying round will be held by the end of March 2021 (13 mini-tournaments), the elite round will be canceled, and 13 group winners and two seeded teams (Netherlands and Spain) will receive tickets to the finals, which will take place on time. —May 6, 22) in Cyprus.
