Defender of the blue-yellows and Dnipro-2021 Vladyslav Dubinchak shared his opinion on the performance of the youth national team of Ukraine in the selection of the European Championship-21 (U-1) with the official website of the UAF.

- Vladislav, the Ukrainian youth team played well after the quarantine matches, there was a draw with Denmark, victories over Finland and Romania. And suddenly - loss to Northern Ireland. What is the reason?

- Not for the sake of an excuse, but I want to tell that the field was very heavy, viscous, and to play combination football which Ruslan Petrovich (Rotan) teaches us. - Note. Ed.) was very difficult. Somewhere we got lost in the opponent's game, power, with long passes, rebounds. We lost to him in anthropometry ...

- Was there a chance to win back after a missed ball?

- Yes of course. We had opportunities for this, but failed to implement them. Everyone was very upset after this defeat.

- What did the head coach say after the game?

- Nothing special. He encouraged us and said that we lost this match together, we will analyze it and we will move on.

- In the current selection, the blue and yellows will not rise above the third place. Could you have performed better?

"Of course." It was possible to leave the group, but we came to our senses too late. At the beginning of the qualification, the team's actions were just being built. Now, in the autumn matches, we have already started to show football an order of magnitude better, but the situation was such that we could not lose. Too much was lost at the start.

- Which match of the national team in the current selection was the best?

- Probably, an away match against the Danes and a home match against the Romanians. In these meetings, the national team of Ukraine really showed its true level of play.

- You have two more matches to play, against Malta and the same Northern Ireland. Will the motivation be at the highest level?
