Oleksandr Kosenko: "The national teams of Denmark and Albania will come with a desire to achieve a positive result"

The head coach of the national futsal team of Ukraine Oleksandr Kosenko told about the team's preparation for matches with teams Denmark and Albania.

On Sunday, April 4, our team gathered in Zaporizhia and began preparations for the Euro 2022 qualifying matches with Denmark (April 7 and 8), as well as with Albania (April 11). All three games are Ukrainian will hold in Zaporozhye in the Palace of Sports "Youth". The start time of the matches is 19.00 in Kyiv.

On the eve of these matches, the official website of the UAF spoke with the head coach of the blue-yellows Alexander Kosenko.

- Did everyone arrive at the team's location? who got calls players?

- All 15 performers arrived for the gathering. The only thing that worries me is that Kirill Tsypun has a hip injury. But I hope that he will recover before the matches.

- A good final came out, decent, and the semifinals were interesting. I liked the matches. Everyone played well, I will not single anyone out. In general, all the players of the national team of Ukraine in cup matches showed themselves well.

- What is the work schedule of the national team of Ukraine these days?

- We trained on Sunday, there were day and evening sessions on Monday. Today - pre-game training and theoretical classes. Tomorrow is the game against Denmark.

- Do you plan to watch the matches between Denmark and Albania?? What is your opinion about these rivals?

- Of course, we will watch their games. All rivals are not easy now. There seem to be favorites and outsiders on paper, but according to fights in other groups, teams that were considered outsiders beat the favorites. So you need to tune in to serious games. Moreover, the three teams currently have three points each. Denmark and Albania will come with a desire to achieve a positive result.

How these teams can play, we disassembled, watched their matches. Both Albania and Denmark have technical futsal players who work well with the ball. Games will not be easy - we have to understand it, adjust. Must go to the match with the appropriate mood.

In the group round, 32 participants were divided into eight groups of four teams. For the first time in the history of the tournament, teams at this stage will play against opponents at home and away, holding two matches against each opponent in the group. Eight group winners and six top runners-up will join the Netherlands in the final stage. The two runners-up, who did not make it directly to the final tournament, will play in the playoffs.
