Futsal Euro 2022. Ukraine in the quarterfinals of the European Championships

Ukraine's futsal team will play in the quarterfinals of the European Championship for the sixth time. This time they will meet with the team of Kazakhstan.

In the group round of the European Championship blue-yellows lost to Netherlands (2:3), defeated Serbia (6:1) and lost to Portugal0:1), but took second place in the quartet and made it to the playoffs. In the quarterfinals, which takes place in Amsterdam today, January 31, Oleksandr Kosenko's wards will face Kazakhstan (kick-off at 21.00 pm Kyiv time). 

The Ukrainians reached the quarterfinals of the European Championship for the sixth time in a row (ie in all tournaments where this stage took place, before that the participants left the group to the semifinals), but, unfortunately, in previous cases did not go further. In the 1/4 our team lost to Azerbaijan, Croatia, Portugal, Serbia and Spain. Let's hope the series will be interrupted.

It should be noted that in 2001 and 2003 the national team of Ukraine overcame this stage the greatest success in its history, advancing twice the finals and winning the silver medal of the continental championship.
