The youth futsal team of Ukraine will host the NTZ in March

The updated youth futsal team of Ukraine will continue its preparations for the Euro-2025 (U-19) selection matches.

According to the head coach of the blue-yellow team Igor Moskvichev, a training camp is planned for March 11-15 in Uzhhorod. The main task will be to record the composition of the team.

"As for future plans, in the summer the youth national team of Ukraine intends to take part in a traditional tournament in Poreč, Croatia. Before that, it is also planned to hold another gathering, possibly abroad. As for the opponents, there are no names yet. In particular, sparring matches with the Czechs were planned, but they refused to hold matches," said Ihor Moskvichev.

As a reminder, our team will find out its opponents in the Euro-2025 (U-19) selection during the preliminary and main rounds draw, which will kick-off October 31.

The debut European Youth Futsal Championship was held in 2019 in Riga, the second draw took place in 2022 in Jaen (originally planned for 2021, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic), the third in 2023 in Poreč. Spanish teams became champions (2019, 2022) and Portugal (2023).

The national team of Ukraine participated in all three final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaly Odegova's wards took third place in the group, and in 2022 stopped in the semi-finals. In 2023, Igor Moskvichev's team will also reached the semi-final stage.
