Futsal Euro-2023 (U-19). The youth national team of Ukraine is waiting for the draw of the final tournament
In March, IUkrainian national futsal team reached the final tournament of the continental championship for the third time in a row. Today, May 16, the draw will determine its opponents for Euro 2023 (U-19).
Earlier, within the framework of group 2 of the main round of Euro-2023 (U-19) selection, the matches of which were hosted by the Serbian city of Vrnjačka-Banja, the blue-yellow team confidently beat Montenegro (12:1) and Romania (7:3). In the decisive match of the quartet, the Ukrainians defeated Serbia (4:2).
Thus, the blue-and-yellows took the first place in the group and made their way to the third of three European championships. In addition to the Ukrainian national team, Croatia (the host), Slovenia, Portugal, Finland, France, Spain and Italy qualified for the final tournament.
Formation of groups of the final tournament will kick-off in Poreč, Croatia on May 16 and will start at 20.00 Kyiv time. At the time of the draw, the host team Croatia will be seeded number one in Group A. The remaining teams will be randomly allocated between Groups A and B.
The forum itself will be held from September 3 to 10 in the same place, in Poreč. Eight participants will play in two groups of four teams each, the best two of which will advance to the semi-finals.

The debut European Futsal Championship among youth was held in 2019 in Riga, the second draw took place in 2022 in Jaen — both times (2019, 2022) the Spanish team became the champion. The second championship was originally planned for 2021, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The national team of Ukraine participated in both final tournaments. In 2019, Vitaly Odegova's wards took third place in the group, and in 2022 stopped in the semi-finals.
